Apologies for the flurry of posts today but I’m playing catchup on all that’s been going on while I was preparing for Thought Bubble comic con the last few weeks (which went really well).

Brand new printed versions of issues #1 and #2 of Out of Hours Comics!

This is a side project I’ve been working on this year with my friend, writer Mert Yeygün, about the dark side of classic superhero stories. My role in issue #1 was the entirety of the art (pencils/inks/colours/letters).

Out of Hours Comics #1 - Mr Omega by Mert Yeygun and Cat Byrne

Spread from issue #1, by Mert Yeygün and Cat Byrne

On issue #2, we invited artist Mert Baran to do the pencils and inks. I did the colours and letters.

Spread from issue #2 written by Mert Yeygün. Art by Mert Baran & colours/letters by Cat Byrne

These are both available for sale on my shop : Issue #1 / Issue #2
Each £1.50 / A5 size (artwork has been modified to fit on A5, from the US comic book format which is how we usually work)
8 pages, full colour throughout.

We are currently working on the next issues… #3 will close the Mr Omega story arc and feature guest artist Gil Diaz Canales… and I will return in #4 as sole artist with a brand new story.

More information about the project on the Out of Hours Comics website.
