Ink & watercolour, 25 minutes.
I wanted to try this style again I’ve been working on recently, but I’d left my Indian ink at home. I used some markers and ink pens I happened to have on me instead. Hence the dodgy shading.

And then this happened, which I love.
As I had a nib holder but no ink, I thought to still use the nib for shading & linework… except on the watercolour that was still wet. And the pose was perfect for this effect where it looks like there’s rain falling on his back. Really pleased with this one.

  1. I don’t understand how you can create so much beauty in 25 minutes! Your paintings are exceptional. So fluid and loose yet still structured. Amazing work 🙂

    • Oh wow, that’s very nice of you to say. There’s only a few pieces I make that get anywhere close to your glowing description though. The rest are all trial and error. So much trial and error!!! 🙂
